Instructions on marriageFiled under: Relationships, EtiquetteMarriage is not something to be entered into lightly (unless you're planning on a starter husband). It's scary, and huge, and forever can feel pretty daunting. Plus, it's not like marriage comes with instructions ... or does it? For those of you looking for some guidance, I encourage you to check out Instructions on Marriage from The Brick Testament, but only if you like Legos and have a pretty good sense of humor (which obviously you do -- you're reading my post, aren't you?). Mixing and Applying Ink to a Letterpress Video Series InstructionsFor as long as I can remember, watching new colors of ink being mixed from other inks always fascinated me. It reminds me of finger painting in kindergarten, which I was quite good at by the way. For those of you who have never seen the process of hand mixing several primary ink colors together into a new, lively pantone custom color, wait until you see this. Watch as a new, soy oil green ink is mixed and then applied to a letterpress: You laughed, you cried, and hopefully you learned something along the way. Thanks for watching and feel free to leave a comment. Written by Nick Invitations by... |

Setting up the Paper Feed on a Letterpress Video Series InstructionsWe recently made a video that combines two of my favorite things: tree-free 100% cotton fiber paper and letterpress. The first part of printing every letterpress job (yes, including yours) is making sure that the paper is feeding properly. Using mostly just the awesome power of air, those Germans at Heidelberg designed a Windmill letterpress system that is truly impressive. Watch as we describe and show the unique set up process that is different for each size and type of paper on a Windmill letterpress: If you still want to know more, please feel free to email us at ajalon@ajalon.com or visi... |
How Letterpress Invitation Printing Works Introduction to the Instructional Video Serie...Have you ever wondered what letterpress printers do? How the printing process actually happens and how is it possible that a design on a computer ends up in your mailbox? As a customer you can be part of the design process, but once that is done the next thing you know your invitation is printed and ready to be delivered. This short video (a little over 2 minutes) details the entire letterpress wedding invitation printing process: Starting with the design on the computer, watch as an invitation is made into film, created into a letterpress plate, printed on the letterpress and then cut for the... |
