Reception Sitesphoto by Checkerbox PhotographyMany of our clients first come to us because they are overwhelmed with finding that perfect reception site. I totally understand because it can be challenging sorting through all the information out there! If you cannot afford a full service package, find a planner who offers a middle of the road option to help select your vendors (including the site). We offer such a package called "Ready to Wea... |

Paying Attention to your Ceremony SiteWe just fell in love with this recent ceremony site created by Lilla Bello Studios. Bright and bold colors are so "in" this season and this cheery place under which to wed was perfect to share with you. It makes that statement of love, loud and clear. When designing your ceremony site, don't skimp too much. Just because you won't spend a ton of time under that chuppah or arbor, doesn't mean it shouldn't count. After all, this is where the deed gets done! ... |
Gina's Butterfly Reception - New Product Test Site ;)I'm only half joking about the product test site- Gina has so many new items at her reception it's crazy! Gina's colors of purple and green are just stunning and the butterfly theme is subtle on each piece.Letterpress coasters! If you are one of my brides, custom coasters are very reasonable as favors. Ask for details. (What a cool save the date too ;) )Placecards that hang from the chivari chairs!Even Gina's seating chart is new - it doubles as a signature mat. The guests sign their name around the outside.Table numbersOut of town boxes tagsValet tags for the rearview mirrorMenus that wrap... |

The perfect Ceremony site, and the details you need to remember!photo by Mike LarsonYou have made your wants list, prepared a realistic budget and are ready to find that perfect site/s for your Ceremony and Reception. Lets first discuss ceremony sites. For some of you this may be a given if you or your family attend church. That may be your only option. But lets say it isn't, or that you are getting married away from the area your church is located. Here in California we do many outdoor ceremonies which take place on the beach, in the redwoods, in fields, on golf courses, and in private yards. When looking at an outdoor location, here are some important th... |
Choosing Our (Free) SiteChris and I are in search of the perfect "wedding website" and have thus far been disappointed. Some of the websites out there are amazing, but they also cost an arm and a leg. The more "reasonable" websites lack the features and color schemes that we desire. But, I might have found one!Bridal Fever offers tons of unique templates in various features and colors. If a person as picky as me recommends it, you know it has to be pretty fantastic.Check out a couple of their pretty website templates:(splendor & mosaic)Did I mention that the wedding website is FREE?! Each offers features such as a... |
Site Visit: Ellis IslandI think I ve mentioned (because I find myself thinking about it constantly) that we are working on a wedding on Ellis Island. Actually, the ceremony (involving permitting for a horse) is at a different location, but the reception is on Ellis Island. Because the wedding is logistically complicated-the location, a museum, presents many challenges- we thought it would be a good idea to have an all vendor walk through with the vendors who hadn t worked the space before. And so, on a bright and sunny day a couple of weeks ago, DJ Kucha, Jessy from Fleurs, Robert Wagner, Mayra, Salome and I a... |
