Transportation on a BudgetCape Cod Groom and I lamented over what to do regarding our wedding transportation. We considered renting a traditional limousine, but the prices in our area to transport us and our wedding party were outrageous. Plus, given that Cape Cod Groom loves cars, he wanted something more flashy than a typical limo. Given that we were also having a vintage theme to our wedding, I suggested renting an antique car for the day. My groom was pleased with this suggestion, until I looked at renting the antique cars through valet/limo companies. They were just as expensive, if not more costly than re... |
Wedding Transportation OptionsAs the spring wedding season gets underway, I am confronted with how to get my brides and grooms from hotel to ceremony to reception and back. When they are not situated to walk from venue to venue, most of them want to move in style. There are a few options for this. The first option is your standard white or black limo. Most brides want white, just be warned that for some reason there are fewer white vehicles out there than black. So, be sure to reserve early! Staying within the limo family, you move into your suvs. While it may seem like a fun idea to roll up to your church rocking tunes in... |

Wedding TransportationFinished confirming a number of things for the wedding over the weekend and feeling good about where things are at. Still a lot to do but scratching things off the list...wedding transportation - check! We rented a school bus - a much cheaper alternative than a shuttle bus and a good option to offer guests so you don't have to worry about anyone drinking and driving. And the pictures should be fun too!... |
Transportation and LogisticsOur hotel blocks were made easy because of the Woman s Club s location in Midtown Atlanta. The Four Seasons is approximately two blocks from the ATLWC and the Marriott Suites approximately three blocks. Our first logistical decision was to reserve room blocks at both of those hotels, which we did well in advance and therefore were able to get great rates, on a holiday, during the Peach Bowl. Planning in advance here really helps as the hotel has absolutely no idea what their bookings will be over a year out and you are able to get great rates. We also reserved a block at a boutique hotel in At... |
Groom s Guide to Booking Wedding Day TransportationBruce Wayne's wedding day transportation Finally something about the wedding that doesn t involve what color the flowers should be or how many tiers the wedding cake should have! One wedding-related issue that should get most grooms very excited is cars. It s the groom s financial responsibility to arrange transportation from the reception site to the hotel, airport, or wherever else the married couple will be headed after the wedding festivities have ended. Because there are a lot of options when it comes to wedding transportation, we ve broken it down to help simplify the decision. Her... |
Providing Transportation for GuestsIt has become increasingly popular to provide some sort of transportation for guests at weddings for many reasons. For some, it is because of a difficult parking situation, as we face at most of the San Francisco venues, or rough late night driving conditions, as in the wine country. Some venues even require transportation to venues, as there is limited parking at some of these small wineries we work at.With that said, there are ways to do it that will save you time, money and anguish over it. It will also save you (or your planner!) from having to deal with angry guests at the end of the nigh... |
Vintage Style Bikes Make for Eco-Friendly TransportationYou can take a cab to your wedding. A limousine. A chauffeured car. A bus. A truck. A tractor. A rickshaw. A Flintstone car.Or.You can ride your bike! Doesn't get more eco-friendly than that. Phooey to all those who complain about their dress potentially getting dirty. So what. You're only gonna wear it once. Might as well get good use out of it.Need a bike? Make sure you know what to look for.Groovy, retro bikes available at Linus Bike. Found via Oh Joy.... |
Beyond the Limo: Alternative Wedding TransportationYour wedding transportation needs are going to be determined by the locations of your ceremony, reception, and accommodations. If you re having a destination wedding, for example, where everyone will be staying in the same resort and the ceremony and reception will take place there too, you don t have a lot to worry about in terms of transportation. However, for most couples, figuring out how to get themselves, their wedding party, and sometimes their guests from point A to B is high on their list of planning priorities. If you want to travel in style on your wedding day,...... |
